Compact Singapore is rolling out charging fast, with a national target for every HDB town — here's how it works.

Singapore is expanding EV charging rapidly under a national plan to install tens of thousands of charging points, including across public housing (HDB) carparks. Distances are short, so most charging is destination and overnight AC, backed by growing DC fast charging. It uses the European connector standards.

Singapore uses the European standards: Type 2 (AC) and CCS2 (DC).

The major networks

  • SP Group (SP Mobility) — one of the largest public networks.
  • ComfortDelGro ENGIE, Shell Recharge — growing coverage.
  • Charge+ and others — expanding across carparks and HDB estates.

Because the island is small, you're rarely far from a charger — overnight AC charging in your carpark covers most daily driving, with DC hubs for a quick top-up.
